QVIC promotes the development of Vietnam's emerging technology ecosystem by identifying and nurturing innovative small and medium-sized companies that are designing products in key technology areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, IoT, robotics and drones, smart cities, wearables and multimedia technologies, and utilizing Qualcomm Technologies' advanced mobile platforms and technologies.
This year’s three winners are Vbee- Conversational AI Platform; HSPTek- Anti-static Real-Time Monitoring Wearable Device; and Met EV- Smart Electric Vehicle with AI Battery Swapping Solution, with prizes of $100,000, $75,000, and $50,000, respectively. All participating teams will join Qualcomm Technologies’ global network, increasing their industry exposure and opportunities in global trade shows and collaborations with potential customers.
“Qualcomm is committed to being a partner in the journey of these startups, supporting their efforts to harness the power of intelligent computing,” said Alex Rogers, president of technology licensing and international partnerships at Qualcomm Incorporated. “We understand the critical role digital transformation plays in Vietnam’s present and future, and we are here to help navigate this rapidly evolving landscape.”
According to Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC) - Ministry of Science and Technology, after 4 years of accompanying, we acknowledge the contribution of Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge (QVIC) to Vietnam's innovation ecosystem, especially in creating a favorable environment for young Vietnamese technology talents to be trained, experience and participate in solving global challenges in the new context. Hopefully, the long-term companionship from Qualcomm Group will motivate many large corporations to join hands in building and developing Vietnam's innovation ecosystem.
