Immediately after Thanh Hoa Newspaper published an article: "Unlicensed dental clinic openly operating - authorities helpless?", on June 12, the Department of Health established an inspection team to review the content of the reflection on medical examination and treatment activities.

The inspection team was led by Chief Inspector of the Department of Health Le Hong Quang; Head of the Department of Private Medical Practice Management Bui Hong Thuy as Deputy Head of the team, along with members and leaders of Quang Hung and Dong Ve wards (Thanh Hoa City).

At the time of inspection, both facilities had staff to receive patients and examine and treat patients with specialized dental equipment.

Inspection of medical examination and treatment activities, including conditions for medical examination and treatment activities and medical examination and treatment practice of practitioners at the facilities, showed that all facilities did not have licenses to operate medical examination and treatment.

The delegation drew up a record of administrative violations against the facility for providing medical examination and treatment services without a business license and for being suspended from medical examination and treatment; and sealed the chairs and practice equipment. At the same time, the facility owner was required not to provide medical examination and treatment services without a business license.

The People's Committees of Quang Hung and Dong Ve wards have directed the ward's Discipline Team to dismantle the signs, temporarily confiscate and store the advertising signs of the two establishments at the ward People's Committee. According to information from the Department of Health, the Department's Inspectorate will issue a decision to administratively sanction these establishments according to the provisions of law.
