On the evening of April 29, Minh Chau and Quan Lan communes held the opening ceremony of the first two walking routes in Van Don district.
Minh Chau tourist walking route is deployed in Ninh Hai village, Minh Chau commune, with a length of 510m (from Ninh Hai village gate to lane 67, Ninh Hai village), 7m wide roadway, average sidewalk 2.5m. Operating time is from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm every Saturday evening.
The walking route is installed, decorated with welcome gates, street lights, LED lights, trees, and beautiful and vibrant ornamental plants. The total initial investment cost is 210 million VND from socialized sources (including businesses, restaurants, motels and people's contributions).
In addition, households on the street side also decorate their own lighting systems, LED lights, trees, and ornamental plants in front of their houses.
The walking route will preserve and develop existing businesses and types of commercial services serving tourism and encourage households to serve more refreshments, fast food, coastal cuisine and local specialties, souvenirs, handicrafts and other general goods.
The locality also assigned the Youth Union to perform cultural performances, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for people and tourists every evening on the walking street.
The Quan Lan commune walking route is 640m long, running along 4 villages: Thai Hoa, Dong Nam, Bac and Doai. The route has a welcome gate installed at the beginning of Thai Hoa village; at the same time, a public lighting system, a decorative lighting system are installed at 4 highlight arches of 4 villages and the Quan Lan cultural and culinary exchange area.
The route is divided into 3 areas: Folk games, culinary area, cultural exchange area. The areas will have booths selling Quan Lan OCOP products, regional specialties and street food... In addition, some motels and hotels located on the route have decorated their campuses, flower gardens, bonsai, and miniature landscapes to create check-in and music exchange points for tourists. The total investment of the project is nearly 1.5 billion VND from the state budget, socialized sources and people's contributions.
Route operating hours are from 7pm to 10pm every Saturday evening.
Putting the two walking routes into operation is expected to not only create a space for organizing cultural, tourism, commercial and culinary activities, but also help promote and consume local OCOP products and regional specialties. Thereby, meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of local people and contributing to promoting the development of sea and island tourism.
