Implementing the Project to support housing for poor and near-poor households in the period of 2023-2025 (called the Project), Bac Ai district has been approved and supported to build houses in the first phase of 2023 for 15 households; the work of mobilizing and receiving gifts for poor and near-poor households and policy families has been connected by the district to receive 20,567 gifts, with a budget of over 1 billion VND. In Ninh Son district, implementing the Project, the district has been approved and supported to build houses in the first phase of 2023 for 25 households; the work of caring for poor and near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Tet has been mobilized by the district to receive 2,249 gifts with a total amount of 824 million VND. Up to this point, the process of building new houses in localities has been on schedule, for the right subjects, and in accordance with regulations, with most expected to be completed before Tet. On average, each new house has a construction area of 33 to over 70m2 (depending on the family's economic conditions). In addition to the project's financial support, households also invest additional funds and labor days to build more spacious houses, with a total construction cost of over 100 million VND/house.
The working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee inspected the actual progress of the construction of the Great Solidarity House in Bac Ai district.
After the field inspection, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee highly appreciated the active participation of the Party Committees, authorities, and local organizations of Ninh Son and Bac Ai districts in implementing the Project; along with the efforts to contribute more funds from poor households to build more spacious houses. He suggested that in the coming time, local Party Committees and authorities need to step up the dissemination of the Project to the people; proactively mobilize resources to help households build houses, promptly detect and resolve difficulties and problems in the implementation process; regularly inspect and supervise the implementation of house building to ensure the progress of the plan as well as the quality according to the plan, so that poor households have solidly built houses to welcome the warm and joyful spring. At the same time, mobilize resources to take care of Tet for the poor, leaving no one behind.
