Priority given to the construction of Ben Thuy 3 bridge connecting Nghe An with Ha Tinh

Ben Thuy 3 Bridge across Lam River will connect Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city (Nghe An) with Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh).

The Ben Thuy 3 Bridge construction investment project is one of the projects prioritized for investment from the state budget in the coming time according to the Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, which has just been approved by the Prime Minister.

According to the priority investment list, Ben Thuy 3 bridge project is in the group of state budget capital projects.

Currently, on Lam River, the section bordering Nghi Xuan district with 3 localities of Nghe An (Hung Nguyen district, Vinh city, Cua Lo town) has 3 bridges.

Ben Thuy 2 Bridge connecting Hung Loi commune (Hung Nguyen) with Xuan An town (Nghi Xuan) was inaugurated and put into use in 2012.

In particular, the section junction between Nghi Xuan district and Vinh city has 1 bridge, Ben Thuy 1 (inaugurated and put into use in 1990); the section junction between Nghi Xuan district and Hung Nguyen district has 1 bridge, Ben Thuy 2 (inaugurated and put into use in 2012); the section junction between Nghi Xuan district and Cua Lo town (to be merged into Vinh city in 2024) has 1 bridge, Cua Hoi (inaugurated and put into use in 2021).

Cua Hoi Bridge connecting Cua Lo Town with Nghi Xuan District will be put into use from 2021.

With the investment in building Ben Thuy 3 bridge across Lam river, Nghi Xuan district will have 4 bridges connecting to Nghe An province.

Recently, sharing at the conference to disseminate and implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung affirmed: In recent times, the two provinces of Nghe An - Ha Tinh have strengthened their links and cooperation and achieved results in a number of fields. Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW is the basis for Nghe An to realize its potential and aspiration to become a rich, civilized and modern province; it is a development opportunity for Ha Tinh province to comprehensively develop all fields, focusing on services, tourism and urban development.

Based on the results achieved and on the basis of the Politburo's orientation in Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, Ha Tinh province proposed that Nghe An province continue to closely cooperate with the locality to promote development. In particular, focusing on implementing the provincial planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 of the two localities; linking the development of tours and tourist routes associated with the "Central Heritage Road" with diverse types of services; continuing to focus on preserving and promoting the revolutionary and studious cultural tradition of Nghe people to adapt to the trend of integration and development; promote the values of cultural heritage, world cultural celebrities, Party leaders such as: General Secretary Tran Phu, General Secretary Ha Huy Tap, General Secretary Le Hong Phong, Great poet Nguyen Du, poetess Ho Xuan Huong... and the relic sites of Kim Lien, Dong Loc T-junction, Truong Bon... At the same time, coordinate to mobilize resources to implement inter-regional investment projects; strengthen links with localities with large seaports to share import and export goods, develop seaport services, logistics; strengthen links to develop tours, tourist routes, promote investment with provinces of neighboring countries Laos, Northeastern Thailand...

The Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee also hopes that central ministries and branches will soon issue national and regional planning so that localities can implement provincial planning to ensure consistency and synchronization; at the same time, continue to pay attention to investing in shared infrastructure in the South Nghe An - North Ha Tinh area...
