TEMPO. Indonesian President Joko Widodo unveiled the logo called “Tree of Life” for the new capital city (IKN) Nusantara located in East Kalimantan province.

KYODO. For the first time in four years, Japan and China will conduct mutual visits between senior defense officers from the two countries, according to the Japan-China Sasakawa Friendship Foundation.
JAPAN TIMES. The Japanese government has adopted a five-year action plan with the goal of reducing heat-related deaths by 50 percent by 2030, compared to the annual average of 1,295 deaths over the past five years.

BALTIC TIMES. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala held talks with his Lithuanian counterpart Ingrida Simonyte, discussing the situation in Belarus, NATO's eastern flank defense and ways to continue assisting Ukraine at the European level.
UKRINFORM. Ukraine's parliament has officially passed a resolution on a package of sanctions against Iran, accusing the country of supplying weapons to Russia in the conflict that has lasted for more than a year.
IMF. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reached a technical agreement with Ukraine on the initial assessment of a $15.6 billion loan, allowing the disbursement of $900 million to Kiev after approval by the Executive Board.
REUTERS. Italian police have arrested 40 people in a new crackdown on the 'Ndrangheta mafia gang accused of trafficking drugs with partners in Latin America through an underground network of Chinese money brokers.

BBC. The UK government is to tighten regulations to stop retailers giving free samples of e-cigarettes to children.

REUTERS. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will hold talks with US President Joe Biden next week in Washington, discussing ways to strengthen economic ties and maintain military support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
STRAITS TIMES. China has rejected a US request for its two defence ministers to meet in Singapore this week, following concerns raised by Beijing over US sanctions on its top general.
EAP. Paraguayan President-elect Santiago Peña has asserted that negotiating an FTA with China is “not an option” for his country because Asunción has diplomatic relations with Taiwan (China).
EL PAIS. An El Salvador court sentenced former President Mauricio Funes to 14 years in prison and former Justice and Defense Minister David Munguia to 18 years for links to criminal organizations and failure to fulfill their duties.

SCMP. China’s influence in Africa extends to law enforcement, as Beijing seeks to protect its citizens abroad or arrest fugitives accused of crimes.
ZAWYA. The Central African Republic's parliament has passed a law regulating the tokenization of natural resources and land using cryptocurrencies, including for foreigners, a year after legalizing the use of virtual currencies for all transaction purposes.
AFRICA NEWS. Two soldiers and 55 terrorists , including several senior military leaders of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) in West Africa (Iswap), were killed in a joint operation conducted by the Nigerian and Nigerien armies this month.
Oceania
YONHAP. The defense ministers of South Korea and Australia agreed to further strengthen defense cooperation, sharing the view that the two countries are key partners with shared values in the Indo-Pacific region.

BLOOMBERG. The price of bitcoin listed on the Australian branch of Binance exchange fell 20% compared to other digital exchanges, as a series of investors rushed to sell this asset.
