The Kremlin representative made it clear that he meant “the issue of financing the Ukrainian authorities, as well as the supply of ammunition and weapons.”
“Even the most economically powerful countries, like the United States, cannot do this indefinitely and they have enough problems of their own… and at some point it all becomes too much of a burden for them,” he stressed.
A day earlier, NBC News (US) reported that US and European officials are expressing doubts about Ukraine's ability to break the "stalemate" on the ground and are urging the Kiev government to join peace talks. (Sputnik)

* Israel cautious about Hamas tunnels, citing new discovery in Gaza: On November 5, Israeli Army (IDF) spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagari said that overnight, the Golani Brigade completed the siege of Gaza City, the capital of the Gaza Strip, and advanced to the coast of this territory.
According to him, this is a “significant step forward” in increasing pressure on Hamas and marks the completion of the division of the Gaza Strip into two northern and southern regions. He also called on civilians in the northern Gaza Strip to quickly move south and stressed: “We are increasing our attacks overnight, with very strong measures.”
Mr. Hagari also said he had discovered a network of Hamas tunnels, command centers and rocket launchers directly under or close to several hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.
Also on the night of November 5, armed movements in the Gaza Strip fired several rockets into central and southern Israel, some of which targeted Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion International Airport.
In the north, several rockets were fired toward the town of Kiryat Shmona near the border with Lebanon. One rocket hit a house in the town, but there were no casualties because the homeowner had taken shelter.

For his part, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said that the Palestinian Authority (PA) will not accept that the Jewish State will only transfer part of the tax revenue that Israel has withheld since the war with the Hamas Islamist movement broke out on October 7.
Mr. Shtayyeh also asked the international community to put pressure on Israel to quickly transfer all of this money to the PA.
Specifically, part of the above amount will be used to pay for expenses in Gaza, including staff salaries, which are still paid by the Palestinian Authority despite the Hamas Islamist movement controlling the blockaded area.
To date, more than 1,400 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Israel since Hamas' surprise attack on October 7, in which the Islamist movement took more than 240 people hostage.
In response, Israel has relentlessly bombarded Gaza and launched a ground offensive. The Health Ministry in the Hamas-controlled Palestinian territory says more than 9,700 people have been killed, mostly civilians. (AFP)
