The Provincial People's Committee receives funding to support drought response in 2024 in the province.

On June 9, the Provincial People's Committee held a reception for funding to support drought response in 2024 sponsored by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Sovico Group and HDBank. Attending the reception were: Tran Thi Kim Yen, member of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. On the Ninh Thuan province side, there were comrades: Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the reception, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Sovico Group and HDBank presented Ninh Thuan province with 250 water tanks and drought response works in the province with a total value of nearly 1.9 billion VND.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: Ninh Thuan province has been making efforts to promptly and synchronously deploy solutions to respond to drought and water shortages as the drought is forecast to continue to last in the province, to ensure stable production and people's lives. In the context of the province's limited resources, the locality really needs the attention of the Government, Ministries and branches and the support of businesses, organizations and individuals in responding to drought and water shortages. In particular, with this support, the Provincial People's Committee will direct units to urgently and effectively implement drought response work in the province to ensure stable production and people's lives. In the coming time, Ninh Thuan province hopes to continue to receive support and companionship from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City and businesses in the work of responding to drought, climate change and many other fields for local socio-economic development, committed that all support will be respectfully received by Ninh Thuan province and used for the right purpose.

Speaking at the reception, Comrade Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, sincerely thanked the hearts and precious feelings that the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Sovico Group and HDBank have given to the province at a time when the whole province is facing drought. That support will help people in the drought-affected area of Ninh Thuan make more efforts to overcome the difficult period to continue maintaining and developing production. The Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee hopes that the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and enterprises will continue to accompany and support the province in social security work, especially paying attention to poor households and households with housing difficulties in the province.
