According to information from the Industry and Trade Newspaper, a reporter from the North Central Regional Office of the Industry and Trade Newspaper (based in Thanh Hoa) was threatened and insulted by a phone call while working under the direction of the editorial office.

Accordingly, the person who called to threaten the QH reporter, calling himself QTH (Phone number: 09414616xx; it is unclear which press agency he is currently working for or collaborating with), called to curse, challenge, and threaten to assault the reporter: If he does not stop researching and reporting, he will "feed him all kinds of things".

After the incident, Cong Thuong Newspaper sent Official Dispatch No. 496/BaoCT-BD dated September 19 to Thanh Hoa Provincial Leaders requesting support in verifying and protecting reporters.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province has assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications and relevant departments, branches, units and localities. Study the proposal of the Industry and Trade Newspaper to promptly direct the handling of acts of cursing, threatening and assaulting reporters and take measures to protect reporters working in the province in accordance with regulations; report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation results and contents beyond the authority; at the same time, provide feedback to the Industry and Trade Newspaper.

The Department of Information and Communications shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, units and localities to promptly take measures to inspect the contents and information that the Industry and Trade Newspaper and press agencies have reported on violations by groups and individuals; advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to rectify and strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.

It is known that on October 2, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police invited QH reporters to work, record statements, and record audio to have a basis and basis for investigation and clarification of the case.
