Accordingly, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that the information reported by the press about signs of cutting meals for boarding students, parents not receiving leftover food money, and study support money for students is well-founded.

The report also said that because some of the contents that needed to be verified involved many people, at different times and had complex content and nature, the People's Committee of Bac Ha district transferred the above information to the police for investigation and verification.

When the police investigation results are available, the local authorities will report to the relevant authorities, the press and inform the people. The guiding viewpoint of Lao Cai province is to strictly handle violations according to the law.

The Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee have, are and will continue to issue directive documents to all levels, sectors and functional agencies of the province to promptly investigate, verify, clarify and strictly handle groups and individuals who violate legal regulations, violate teachers' ethics, cause public discontent and affect the reputation of the education sector as well as the locality.

11 students only get 2 packs of instant noodles with rice for breakfast.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, in a VTV24 report on the evening of December 16, the boarding meals at Hoang Thu Pho 1 School showed signs of irregularity and were cut short. Each tray of 11 students was only given 2 packs of instant noodles for breakfast, cooked thinly, served with rice, while the menu stated that each student was given 1 pack of instant noodles and 1 egg.

For lunch and dinner, students were given some chopped ham and vegetable soup, although the board said November 14th, in addition to vegetables, the food for two meals also included 14 kg of pork and 11 kg of bones. Even the vegetables in the kitchen were rotten, so students were mobilized to pick them up.

In the report, the principal said that the students' food rations were still adequate. For example, meals only had ham and vegetable soup, which was sufficient according to the given menu. The spoiled vegetables recorded on video were not used for cooking.
