On November 2, Mr. Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to reports and propose solutions for managing aquaculture, business and service activities in Dam Nai area (Ninh Hai). Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

Dam Nai area currently has 177 households/1,106 rafts for aquaculture; of which, there are 45 households/99 rafts for aquaculture and 132 households/1,007 rafts for aquaculture of oysters, with a total area of 45 hectares, mainly concentrated in Khanh Hai town, Tri Hai commune, Ho Hai commune. Currently, the number of rafts for aquaculture of oysters is increasing rapidly, the rafts are anchored close together, limiting water circulation, dead oysters fall into the lagoon causing water pollution. In addition, trading and service activities such as gathering oysters, prying oysters, spontaneously washing oyster shells right at Tri Thuy embankment affect the living environment of people around the area, spoiling the general beauty of the district. At the meeting, Ninh Hai district proposed and proposed the Provincial People's Committee to soon integrate the aquaculture area of Dam Nai area into the socio -economic development planning of the province; promulgate regulations on management of aquaculture of specialized water surfaces and sea surfaces; Pay attention to supporting the district in the process of inspecting and rectifying the situation of aquaculture, business and services in Dam Nai area.

After listening to comments from departments, branches and localities, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Ninh Hai district to proactively coordinate with relevant functional agencies to review the overall quantity, subjects and farming area in this area; rearrange the aquaculture rafts and adjust and supplement the land and water surface planning of the lagoon to ensure consistency and consistency according to the planning orientation of the province. Strengthen management and close supervision to prevent the development of new aquaculture rafts and spontaneous business and service activities.
