Hoang Vinh Nguyen returned to Vietnam last week. The midfielder had a few days off before returning to training with Ho Chi Minh City FC. His Spanish visa expired on November 15.
The midfielder born in 2002 did not sign a contract with Cadiz FC. He is still a player of Ho Chi Minh City Club and is registered to play in the 2023/2024 season in the V.League and the National Cup. Vinh Nguyen can play when these tournaments return after the national team training period.
The U23 Vietnam player came to train at Cadiz FC under a cooperation program between the Spanish team and Ho Chi Minh City Club. This is not a player transfer or trial deal to sign a contract immediately. According to VTC News, Vinh Nguyen still has the opportunity to play abroad if he proves his ability.

When he first arrived in Spain, Vinh Nguyen showed his ability to integrate well when he was able to join the training with U18 Cadiz on the first day of arriving in Spain. After that, he immediately trained with the B team and scored 4 goals in a match on a miniature field.
Cadiz FC has arranged a personal coach to closely follow and support Vinh Nguyen. Mr. Pablo Sanchez was chosen to act as a "mediator" between the Spanish team and the Vietnamese player.
The player who grew up at HAGL training center was on the list of U19 Vietnam 4 years ago. In March 2023, he was called up by coach Philippe Troussier to U23 Vietnam to prepare for the Doha Cup and SEA Games 32, but was eliminated later.
Hoang Vinh Nguyen is not yet a mainstay of Ho Chi Minh City Club, so sending this player to another team in a short time does not greatly affect Coach Vu Tien Thanh's personnel plan.
In recent times, Vinh Nguyen has received much attention from Cadiz FC. In addition to professional activities, the team playing in La Liga still updates training images of Vietnamese players through official media channels. Vinh Nguyen is invited to watch La Liga matches to gain more experience.
