On the evening of March 23, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund held the award ceremony for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces in 2023.
The Council for the 2023 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award has selected 10 outstanding faces to award the 2023 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award and 9 Promising Young Vietnamese Faces Award in 2023, in 9 fields (the field of state administrative management has no nomination).
The nominations were selected in 9 fields (there were no nominations in the field of State Administrative Management). In particular, in the field of Scientific Research - Innovation, there were 2 nominations selected by the Council as Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2023.
The Outstanding and Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2023 are typical examples with impressive achievements, inspiring young people.
Among them, Nguyen Duc Cuong (singer Den Vau) - from a young man working at an environmental sanitation company in Quang Ninh, with his love for music, has become a leading Rapper in Vietnam and inspired people to live and contribute to the community.
Den has contributed nearly 700 million VND to build 2 schools in Lai Chau and Cao Bang, 160 million VND to the Raising Children project,...
Sharing at the ceremony, Den Vau said he was very nervous to attend the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces award ceremony and did not think that what he did would be honored.
“This is a great honor in my life and I believe it is a great milestone in my artistic career and life,” said Den Vau.
Talking about the projects of building schools and buying computers for students, Den Vau shared: "I myself have received a lot of help from society and the community, and the things I do are only with the desire to continue to give that help so that children have a stepping stone, can enter life more comfortably. I hope that they will strive and develop to contribute to their homeland, country and develop themselves in the future."
Den Vau shared his wish in the future is to serve society and the community more.
The award also honored Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy, Deputy Head of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, K Hospital; for his achievements in thyroid medicine with the first report in Southeast Asia on the successful implementation of robotic thyroidectomy through the oral vestibular approach in the treatment of thyroid cancer. This is a milestone marking the development of the surgical profession in general, as well as in the field of thyroid surgery in particular in Vietnam.
Or the top 10 Hackers at the top of the rankings in the program "Search for vulnerabilities 2023", the top 100 security experts in the world in the 3 largest security platforms in the world Nguyen Tuan Anh; Dinh Cao Son, who won the International Chemistry Gold Medal with a score ranked 7th in the world... are also individuals with outstanding achievements.
Don't let your youth pass by meaninglessly.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said that the country is on the path of strong development with the aspiration to build a rich, democratic, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, becoming a modern, high-income industrial country by 2045.
That aspiration cannot come true without people to make it happen. Realizing that aspiration requires the cooperation and unanimity of all the people, including an extremely important group: the young.
“It is very gratifying that the majority of Vietnamese youth today are very ambitious, have dreams, ambitions, good morals, are proactive, volunteer, creative, and actively participate in socio-economic development and national defense. That is an important basis for the feasibility of the 2045 aspiration. The young faces honored today are typical faces of that generation of youth.”
According to Mr. Huy, the common point of these individuals is perseverance, diligence, seriousness, and steadfastness on the path they have chosen. Along with that is dedication, daring to act, and knowing how to apply the knowledge they have worked hard to gain into life. “They are the ones who clearly demonstrate the statement: Knowledge is only meaningful when it is applied to life. You are the authors of many initiatives, solutions, and projects that bring practical benefits to the community, to the unit, to the country.”
Mr. Huy also sent a general message to the youth: “We all only have one life. Whether youth is brilliant or not, it is only once, it cannot be brilliant a second time. Do not let youth pass by meaninglessly. Continue to steadfastly move forward on the path you have chosen so that the brilliance of youth is a launching pad for the brilliance of life, making the Fatherland more and more beautiful.
The Central Youth Union Secretariat hopes that young people will always nurture their aspirations, set themselves a noble goal, nurture their determination and do not hesitate to act to reach their aspirations. The path to realizing aspirations may be bumpy and full of thorns, but if we overcome those things, we will achieve success. Our successes, no matter how small, will be bricks contributing to the overall success of the whole country."
