On his personal page, male singer Tuan Hung was moved when mentioning the founding day of the Watermelon band: "On this day 26 years ago, Watermelon officially debuted to the audience.
Under the leadership of musician Ngoc Chau, we are a boy band that has been well received by audiences since the very first days. Although our time of operation was not long, it was a great premise and springboard for all members of the group to firmly step on their own musical path in the future."

The male singer said that he always keeps the memories of his time as a member of the Watermelon band intact. He feels happy that the band members are still active in the music industry.
"Today is the group's birthday, I was surprised to see that we have had such a wonderful journey with the love that the audience has given us, I am truly happy with that luck" , the male singer shared.
Tuan Hung also mentioned the reunion of the Watermelon group: "Backstreet Boys has reunited, what about Watermelon? I wish all members good health and continue with their passion to contribute to Vietnamese music."

Watermelon is a boy band formed in 1998 with the help of musician Ngoc Chau. The group consists of four members: Anh Tu, Bang Kieu, Tuan Hung, and Tuong Van.
When it was first released, Watermelon quickly attracted attention with its youthful, modern musical style, considered a new breeze of Vietnamese music in the late 1990s.
The group left their mark in the Vietnamese music industry with hits: Gentle Sun, Late Summer, Get Down... However, after nearly 2 years of activity, Bang Kieu decided to leave the group to start a solo career.
The watermelon disintegrated in 2000.
The group added two new members but did not leave any mark and officially disbanded in 2000.
After the group disbanded, Tuan Hung and Tu Dua continued to assert themselves as singers, while Tuong Van retreated behind the scenes and focused on writing music.
