Dr. Tran Viet Nga was appointed as Director of the Department of Food Safety.

At the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented Decision No. 2799/QD-BYT signed and issued on September 23, 2024, appointing Ms. Tran Viet Nga - PhD, Food Technology Engineer, Deputy Director in charge of management and operation of the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) to hold the position of Director of the Department of Food Safety.

The term of office is 5 years from the effective date of the decision.

Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented the Decision to appoint Director of the Department of Food Safety to Dr. Tran Viet Nga.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan expected that in her newly appointed position, Dr. Tran Viet Nga - Director of the Department of Food Safety will promote her full working capacity and solidarity to work with the unit to excellently complete the assigned tasks, for the common development of the health sector.

Previously, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan also presented the decision to appoint Dr. Chu Quoc Thinh as Deputy Director of the Department of Food Safety.

Accordingly, in Decision No. 1568/QD-BYT dated June 6, 2024, the Minister of Health appointed Dr. Chu Quoc Thinh - Head of Cosmetics Management Department, Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Food Safety, Ministry of Health.

Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and leaders of the Ministry of Health congratulated the new Chief of Office, Ministry of Health and the new Director of the Department of Food Safety.

Thus, the Food Safety Department currently has 4 leaders including: Director Tran Viet Nga; 3 Deputy Directors: Nguyen Hung Long, Do Huu Tuan and Chu Quoc Thinh.

Also on the afternoon of September 24, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan handed over the decision to transfer and appoint the Chief of Office of the Ministry of Health.

Accordingly, in Decision No. 2789/QD-BYT signed and issued on September 23, 2024, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan transferred and appointed Mr. Doan Huu Thien, PhD - doctor, Director of the Institute for Testing Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (Ministry of Health) to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Health.

The term of office is 5 years from the effective date of the decision. The decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation.
