On the afternoon of June 11, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security , signed a decision to posthumously promote the ranks of four officers and soldiers who died in the attack on two commune police headquarters.

Specifically, the Minister of Public Security decided to promote the rank of Mr. Hoang Trung (42 years old, from Nghi Loc district, Nghe An ), a police officer of Ea Ktur commune (Cu Kuin district), from captain to major. Posthumously promote the rank of Mr. Nguyen Dang Nhan (29 years old, from Yen Thanh district, Nghe An), a police officer of Ea Ktur commune, from first lieutenant to captain.

Posthumously promoted the ranks of two police officers of Ea Tieu commune (Cu Kuin district). Specifically, posthumously promoted from captain to major for Tran Quoc Thang (34 years old, from Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh ) and from lieutenant to captain for Ha Tuan Anh (32 years old, from Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa).

At the same time, on the afternoon of June 11, General To Lam also signed a decision to support each family of the officers who sacrificed 100 million VND; Captain Le Kien Cuong (35 years old), an officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police, and Senior Lieutenant Dam Dinh Bop (30 years old), Deputy Chief of the Ea Ktur Commune Police, who were injured, were each supported with 50 million VND.

Earlier, the spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General To An Xo, said that early in the morning of June 11, a group of unidentified people suddenly used guns to attack the police headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, causing the death and injury of a number of commune police officers, commune officials and residents.

The Ministry of Public Security has directed Dak Lak Provincial Police and professional units to deploy to arrest the group of subjects causing the incident.

As of 4:30 p.m. on June 11, authorities had arrested 16 subjects and rescued two people held hostage by the subjects.

Authorities are actively pursuing the remaining suspects.
