Hanoi Medical University has just announced a resolution to appoint a vice principal in charge of professional matters. Accordingly, Hanoi Medical University has two more vice principals in charge of professional matters, Associate Professor Le Dinh Tung and Associate Professor Ho Thi Kim Thanh.
According to Professor Ta Thanh Van, Chairman of the Board of Hanoi Medical University, the school currently has one principal and two vice principals, while the school (a university with more than 1,000 staff, lecturers and employees) is allowed to have four principals. However, after many years, the school has just completed its team of vice principals.
"The four vice principals are in charge of the four most important areas of a university training in the health sector: clinical medicine has Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thanh, community medicine has Ms. Kim Bao Giang, basic medicine has Mr. Le Dinh Tung, and finance has Mr. Pham Xuan Thang," said Professor Ta Thanh Van.
According to Professor Ta Thanh Van, Hanoi Medical University is pursuing many important plans to improve the school's position in both expertise and scale. Currently, the school has many tasks to do, such as developing science and technology, developing practice facilities, implementing projects and plans aiming to develop Hanoi Medical University into a university or into the top 100 universities in Asia... Having a team of principals like the present is a favorable condition to help the school complete the set tasks.
Associate Professor Le Dinh Tung and Associate Professor Ho Thi Kim Thanh are both 50 years old and both graduated from the general medicine department of Hanoi Medical University in 1997.
Associate Professor Le Dinh Tung is currently Head of the Department of Physiology, Head of the University Training Management Department, in charge of the Department of Allergy - Clinical Immunology, received his PhD from the Institute of Brain Science, Rike, Japan in 2011; was appointed Associate Professor at Hanoi Medical University in 2017.
Associate Professor Ho Thi Kim Thanh, currently Head of the Department of Family Medicine, Director of the Center for Family Medicine and Community Health Care, Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Graduated as a resident physician in 2001; received a PhD from Hanoi Medical University in 2014; was appointed Associate Professor of Hanoi Medical University in 2018.
