Hanoi National University of Education announces new scores for the 2025 competency assessment exam

Hanoi National University of Education has just announced the capacity assessment exam organized by the school (SPT) in 2025.

Accordingly, in 2025, candidates will be able to register for exams in the following subjects: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography and use the exam results to apply for admission to regular university training programs according to the requirements of each university.

Each university has different regulations on the number and combination of subjects to get the exam results and apply for training programs. Therefore, candidates need to carefully study the admission plan of each school to register for the correct and sufficient number of subjects, suitable for their admission wishes.

The school also noted that from 2026, the SPT exam is expected to add the subjects of Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, and Technology.

The content of the exams corresponds to the content of high school subjects and exams; in accordance with the 2018 General Education Program and the teaching, testing and assessment orientation of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The exam combines multiple-choice and essay questions with appropriate scoring scales according to the structure of each exam; assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge and the ability to reason, analyze, evaluate, problem solve and be creative.

Candidates take the test directly in the examination room, answering questions by filling in the multiple choice answer sheet and writing on the test paper. The types of questions and specific ways of answering are as follows:

In 2025, the exam will take place on May 17-18, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday). Hanoi National University of Education said that the adjustment of the exam schedule from 1 to 2 exam days will increase the ability to choose many subjects from diverse subject groups and reduce pressure for candidates taking many exams.

Candidates need to carefully study the admission plans of universities that recognize and use the SPT exam results for regular university admission. Thereby, consider choosing 2, 3, 4, 05 or 6 exams to register for. For each exam session, candidates can only register for a maximum of 1 exam.

Candidates register an account using their citizen identification number on the 2025 university admission registration portal at: https://ts2025.hnue.edu.vn/.

From the logged-in account, candidates declare/edit SPT exam information, upload necessary documents and pay exam fees. Candidates also use this account to look up exam results, register for review and look up review results (if any).

Registration period is from March 15 to April 15, 2025.

Hanoi National University of Education said that up to now, more than 20 higher education institutions have recognized and used the results of the school's capacity assessment exam for regular university admission.

Thus, the number of schools using the results of this exam has increased by 13 schools compared to 2024.

In 2025, many universities will adjust their admission plans because candidates will study and take graduation exams according to the 2018 General Education Program.
