National Economics University reduces enrollment quota, eliminates admission for 5 groups

This quota is included by the school in its own admission method according to the school's project from 80% in 2024 to 83% in 2025.

Accordingly, regarding admission methods, National Economics University maintains 3 methods including: direct admission, combined admission and admission by high school graduation exam results.

With the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, the quota for considering high school graduation exam results will be reduced by 3% from 18% in 2024 to 15% in 2025.

According to the school, this 3% quota is included in the school's separate admission method according to the school's project from 80% in 2024 to 83% in 2025.

In particular, in 2025, with the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, the National Economics University will no longer use the admission combinations B00, C03, C04, D09, D10. The school will only apply 4 combinations including A00, A01, D01, D07.

For admission to advanced, high-quality programs, the National Economics University uses 5 admission codes with separate quotas and separate admission scores for each admission code, including 2 codes for advanced programs and 3 codes for high-quality programs.

Students admitted to each admission code can choose a specific training program within that admission code according to their personal wishes.

Thus, right from the time of registration, candidates must determine the training code according to the standard, high-quality or advanced program. Candidates do not have to take another exam organized by the school if they want to study a high-quality major.

With the Direct Admission method, the school reserves 2% of the total quota and according to the admission code, admission is according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the announcement of the National Economics University.

The Combined Admission Method accounts for 83% of the total enrollment target and according to the enrollment code, remaining stable as in 2024.

Group 1 includes candidates who achieved an SAT score of 1200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher (5% quota).

Group 2 includes candidates with HSA scores of 85 or higher, APT scores of 700 or higher, or TSA scores of 60 or higher; or candidates with international English certificates of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 (excluding TOEFL home edition) or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 & W 150) or higher combined with the above HSA/APT/TSA scores (48% quota).

Group 3 includes candidates with an international English certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 (excluding TOEFL home edition) or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160, W 150) or higher and have a high school graduation exam score in 2025 of math and 1 other subject of English in the school's admission groups (quota 30%).

Admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam accounts for 15% of the total quota and according to the admission code. Admission score is according to the admission code; there is no difference in scores between admission combinations, no additional criteria.

In 2024, the National Economics University will enroll 7,995 students, with 66 enrollment codes (60 codes in 2023), including: 5 technology majors including: Information Security, Information Systems (taught in Vietnamese); Artificial Intelligence, Data Science , Software Engineering (taught in English) and 1 major in Tourism: Entertainment and Event Management.
