Candidates taking the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam
In 2024, the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will enroll students in 5 ways, with plans to increase enrollment quotas and open a new major in public management.
Method 1 is direct admission, priority for direct admission (maximum 5% of total quota).
In which, method 1a includes direct admission, priority admission according to the regular university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 1b includes priority for direct admission of excellent and talented students according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Method 2 is priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University (maximum 20% of total quota).
Method 3 is admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam (30-50% of total enrollment target).
Method 4 is admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024 (maximum 50% of total enrollment target).
Method 5 is admission based on international certificate results combined with high school results or SAT/ACT/International Baccalaureate (IB)/A-Level certificates. This method applies to a maximum of 10% of the total quota, of which no more than 50% of the total quota of English-taught programs.

At the same time, according to Master Cu Xuan Tien, the school began to take on the task of recruiting students for the public management major according to the decision of the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University on merging the administrative science and management department from the Faculty of Politics and Administration (Ho Chi Minh City National University). The training program combines administrative science and management knowledge. Students will be trained and developed in leadership and management capacity, thinking ability, analysis and information synthesis to serve the activities of state leadership and management, and analysis of issues related to public policy.
