Of which, construction management has been trained at the master's level and is now officially a university major.

The Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology also said that in 2024, the school plans to maintain the same admission methods used the previous year.
In particular, the admission method combining multiple criteria is the main one. This admission method combines the assessment of candidates with 3 criteria: study (with the capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, high school graduation exam scores and high school learning results); study/science achievements; cultural-sports-art activities and contributions to the community. In the study criteria, the component of the capacity assessment test scores organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University accounts for the highest proportion.
In addition, the school also considers admission based on other methods, such as: direct admission and priority admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; priority admission for excellent and talented candidates of high schools in 2024 according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University; priority admission according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University according to the list of high schools nationwide; admission of candidates with international admission certificates or foreign candidates for English-taught programs; admission based on high school results combined with interviews for candidates planning to study abroad for international transfer programs.
In 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology will reserve 60-90% of its total enrollment quota for admission by combining multiple criteria. As a result, the admission scores for most majors/groups of majors using this method have increased compared to 2022. Of which, 5% of candidates will be admitted with a score of 900 or higher on the Ho Chi Minh City National University's 2023 competency assessment and a high school graduation exam score of 27 or higher.
