According to the National Economics University's admission plan announced in December 2023, candidates are divided into two groups. Group 1, candidates register for admission based on SAT or ACT scores (standardized tests used for university admission in the US); HSA and APT scores of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City National Universities; TSA scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; or a combination of English certificate scores with one of the three types of test scores mentioned above. The quota for this group is 50%.
Group 2, candidates use high school graduation exam scores combined with international English certificates, accounting for 30% of the target.
"After announcing the project, the school noticed a difference in the conversion of certificate scores in the project. For example, the minimum score to accept applications from candidates using SAT is 1200/1600, which is converted to 22.5 points on a scale of 30. Meanwhile, the minimum score for candidates using HSA, APT and TSA ranges from 17-18 points," the representative analyzed.
National Economics University adjusts enrollment plan.
Therefore, to ensure the rights of all candidates and to help them not be confused, the school decided to adjust the project. Candidates were divided into 3 groups.
Group 1 includes candidates with international SAT or ACT certificates. The eligibility criteria for this group is that candidates must have achieved an SAT score of 1,200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher within 2 years from June 1, 2024.
The school notes that when taking the SAT or ACT, candidates need to register the National Economics University code with the testing organization. The SAT is 7793-National Economics University and the ACT is 1767-National Economics University. If candidates have taken the test but have not registered the school code, they need to re-register with the testing organization.
Group 2: Candidates with the Competency Assessment test scores of Hanoi National University or Ho Chi Minh City National University or with the Thinking Assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, or candidates with an international English certificate combined with one of the scores of the above exams.
