The first university to announce enrollment direction from 2025

On the afternoon of September 12, Nha Trang University announced a draft orientation for full-time university enrollment from 2025 onwards for students following the new generaleducation program.

From 2025, the university will adjust its enrollment direction to match the new general education program.

Dr. To Van Phuong, Head of Training Department, said that this direction was built based on the recent implementation of the new general education program for 10th grade students in high schools. The introduction of this direction aims to better meet social needs, thereby helping students have a more appropriate and correct career orientation in the process of choosing subjects.

Specifically, Nha Trang University plans to recruit students according to 3 methods, applied to high school graduates according to the new general education program nationwide.

Method 1 is direct admission/priority admission according to the admission regulations of the admission year.

Method 2 is to consider the capacity assessment scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University of the admission year.

Method 3 is to consider the combined scores of admission subjects based on the transcript and high school graduation exam scores (if the Ministry of Education and Training organizes high school graduation exams as it does now).

Sharing more about the orientation in determining the subject combination for admission, Dr. To Van Phuong said that the school plans to use from 3 to 5 subjects in the admission combination with a score of 50. Of which, math, literature and English are 3 compulsory subjects in each admission combination.

With the combination of 3 subjects (math, literature and English), the math and English scores will be multiplied by a factor of 2 based on the training program and converted to a 50-point scale.

If there are 4 subjects, this combination will include compulsory subjects (math, literature, English) and 1 subject suitable for the training field. In these 4 subjects, there will be 1 subject with a coefficient of 2.

If there are 5 subjects, this combination will include compulsory subjects (math, literature, English) and 2 subjects suitable for the training major (subjects without coefficients).

In addition to the 3 compulsory subjects, 1-2 admission subjects suitable for the training major include: physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history, technology, and information technology.
