Speaking at the meeting, Distinguished Teacher Luong Minh Cu warmly congratulated the new students who were admitted to the first-phase postgraduate training course in 2024 of Cuu Long University.

At the same time, it was said that in the 2023-2024 school year, the leaders of Cuu Long University focused on directing and effectively implementing enrollment programs and plans, and making changes according to the general instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Health.

The school is carrying out procedures to apply for opening level I specialized training in Nursing, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, and Medical Technology specializing in Testing.

After being assessed by the Ministry of Health, on July 4, the Ministry of Health decided to assign the task of training level I specialists in Nursing, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, and Medical Technology specializing in Testing to Cuu Long University.

As soon as the decision was made, the school proceeded to develop regulations on admission and training of level I specialists, admission procedures and organize entrance exams in accordance with regulations.

Meritorious teacher, Associate Professor, Doctor Luong Minh Cu awarded certificates of merit to candidates with high scores in the exam.

Up to now, based on the entrance exam results, there are 165 candidates admitted to the first specialized program in 2024. The first round of 2024 postgraduate training level 1 recruitment of Cuu Long University has 165 qualified candidates in training majors, including Nursing and Medical Technology specializing in testing. Based on the results of the recruitment exam, Cuu Long University has awarded 2 candidates with high scores in the exam.

Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang congratulated Cuu Long University on opening a level I specialist training course, and said that for the human resource needs of the health sector in the country in general and the health sector of Vinh Long province in particular, postgraduate human resources are a necessary need.

In Vinh Long province alone, in the period of 2024 - 2029, the provincial health sector needs more than 600 human resources trained after university. Of which, the Nursing and Medical Technology majors in testing account for a very large number.

Therefore, opening level I specialized majors of Cuu Long University is very suitable for the practical needs of society.
