This morning, the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University) officially organized the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
The exam will take place over 2 days: May 25 (candidates will take 3 compulsory subjects: Literature, English, Math) and May 26 (specialized subjects) at 3 exam locations: Gifted High School, Saigon Practicing High School, Saigon University.

At the exam site of Saigon Practical High School, student TD, Nguyen Du Secondary School (District 1) shared: "I registered for the English specialized exam at the Gifted High School and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. The English specialized class of the gifted school is always at the top of the competition rate, but I will try my best to get into the foreign language specialized class that I have loved since I was little."
The leaders of the Gifted High School said that the total enrollment target this year remains unchanged (600 students) as in previous years, but candidates will be more competitive than last year because the school has received 3,843 applications (an increase of about 24% compared to 2023).

The school assessed that there was a high degree of differentiation in the registration of wishes for 17 specialized classes, with the majority of candidates choosing priority wishes for English, math, chemistry, literature, and IT classes. However, almost all candidates registered for 2 or more wishes to increase their chances of being admitted to the school. Before the exam, the school also advised candidates to focus on the subjects they registered for and be careful when taking the test to achieve the maximum possible score.

This year, the Gifted High School enrolls 7 specialized classes at the District 5 campus and 10 specialized classes at the Thu Duc campus. Accordingly, each math-interdisciplinary (LN), literature-LN, and English-LN class has 70 quotas (2 classes), the remaining classes have 35 quotas (1 class).
