The Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command have comprehensively and focused on the implementation of the military and defense work and a number of military tasks in the first 6 months of 2023, completing the set programs and plans, and many tasks have been well completed. Notably, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command have closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to effectively lead and direct the implementation of military and defense work (QS, QP), building potentials in the defense area (KVPT); proactively worked with provincial and municipal Party committees on military and defense work, Party building and personnel work, creating high consensus and unity. The Party Committee and the Command have led, directed, thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Resolution of the Central Military Commission on training, education and training, logistics, technology, military science and finance in the Military Region's armed forces. The political and ideological situation of officers and soldiers in the Military Region's armed forces is stable, ready to receive and complete assigned tasks. Speaking at the inspection, on behalf of the leaders of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the inspection delegation, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by Military Region 5 in the first 6 months of 2023. In order to successfully complete the tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army requested that the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 5 continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement Resolution No. 05-NQ/TW of the Politburo (13th tenure), Resolution No. 230-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army in the period of 2021-2030 and the following years; Resolution No. 1659-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on improving the quality of training in the period of 2023-2030 and the following years; Proactively grasp, forecast, and correctly assess the situation, promptly advise and propose to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense policies and solutions to effectively handle military and defense situations, and avoid being passive or surprised... To create high unity in perception and action, Military Region 5 needs to actively innovate content and form, improve the quality of political education, strictly manage ideology; strengthen propaganda, dissemination, and legal education, and foster skills to solve problems arising in practice for soldiers.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau also noted that the Party Committee of Military Region 5 needs to focus on leading and directing the building of exemplary Party committees and organizations; strictly comply with the principles of Party organization and activities, working regulations, and leadership regulations; closely review and evaluate the implementation results of the Party Committee's Action Program for the 2020-2025 term; strictly implement the principles, regulations, processes, and provisions on personnel work, internal political protection work, secret protection, building safe units associated with safe areas, etc.
