The Mid-Autumn Festival was warm despite the absence of Hang and Cuoi and the star lantern procession at Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School No. 1 (Bao Yen, Lao Cai), so that Lang Nu students could ease their homesickness and longing for their friends.

Mid-Autumn Festival without lantern procession

The Mid-Autumn Festival was organized by a volunteer group in Vinh Phuc and teachers of Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School No. 1 for the children. This year's Mid-Autumn Festival had no lantern procession, no performances, no Cuoi or Hang, only candy and sausages. The Mid-Autumn Festival was on the second day that 130 students from Lang Nu school transferred to the main school. Teacher Pham Duc Vinh, principal of Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School No. 1, said that the school arranged for the children to live like boarding students.

Some functional rooms such as the traditional room and the music room have become dormitories for boarding students. Currently, the school organizes cooking from food donated by benefactors. The school board continues to propose to the authorities to supplement the boarding regime for the students.

Distribute candy to the empty seats because the flood swept away the children.

On the second day of school, there were a few empty seats because the owners of the seats had been swept away by the flood. The students did not sit in those seats, so the teacher who was distributing candy also distributed more candy and placed it in the empty seats. "The teachers and students love and miss their friends very much. But to ensure that the students' psychology is good for studying, the teachers rearranged the tables and chairs and rearranged the seats for them. We also organized a simple Mid-Autumn Festival so that the students could have more joy and forget the losses of the recent flood," said Mr. Vinh.

Many children ate sausages for the first time.

The "breakfast" party had lots of candy, fruit, and even sausages. Students lined up one by one like they were eating a buffet. Each student got to choose a dish, and after finishing eating, they lined up to choose another dish to give to their friends. Students of Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School No. 1 received lots of candy from benefactors. Teachers and students gave it to students from other schools. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the dish that students lined up to choose the most was sausages. Hoang Quang Vinh - a first grader who had just transferred from Lang Nu school - still missed his mother. Vinh liked sausages the most. "This is the first time I've had this dish" - Vinh shared.
