Sculpture exhibition "From Bach Dang Victory to Great Victory April 30, 1975"

The exhibition takes place from April 19 to 25, in the outdoor art space on Nguyen Hue walking street. Large-scale sculptures are arranged in a continuous manner, creating a unique artistic whole, vividly recreating the brilliant milestones in the history of the struggle to build and defend the country of the Vietnamese people - from the Bach Dang victory in the past to the total victory on April 30, 1975.

The work "The Stake Field" recalls the Bach Dang victory.

The works of artist Le Huu Hieu not only impress with their size and creative form of expression, but also show the depth of thought, depicting the enduring flow of national spirit through each period. The images of statues missing a part of their body, replaced by details such as a large ladder shaped like a crutch, are both highly symbolic and suggestive of the great sacrifices of many generations of Vietnamese people in the wars of national defense.

The tank is suspended upside down on the Bach Dang stake, representing the inheritance of power from our ancestors, creating a modern miracle. The floating tank is reminiscent of the 1972 Dien Bien Phu in the air campaign.

A highlight of the exhibition is the work “Guardian God” – not associated with any specific image in mythology or religion, but a symbolic generalization of the desire of heaven and earth to protect and shelter the Vietnamese people. This is also a profound expression of the humanistic spirit and belief in a peaceful and unified future.

In addition, the work simulates the Bach Dang stake field - a symbol of national victory - presented with a new perspective when there is the appearance of the M24 Chaffee tank, a type of vehicle that the US provided to the French army in 1953. This image is like an interweaving of historical periods, reflecting the depth of contemplation about the past and present.

With a harmonious combination of traditional materials such as lacquer, ceramics, cast metal, etc., the exhibition demonstrates a strong creative spirit, contributing to enriching the urban cultural and artistic life, while raising public awareness of history and the value of peace.

The exhibition attracted a large number of people and tourists to see.

People and tourists are advised to visit the exhibition early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid hot weather and make it more convenient to enjoy and record memorable moments with relatives and friends on this important occasion of the country.

Most of the space displaying 27 cast metal statues is a metaphor for the resilience and indomitability of generations of Vietnamese people, who are strong-willed and steadfast in their sacrifice for the Fatherland.
