According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Government Office has just issued Document No. 7712/VPCP-KSTT conveying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's opinion on organizing the National Digital Transformation Day in 2023. The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to preside over and coordinate with the Government Office to develop a program and scenario for organizing the National Digital Transformation Day in 2023 on October 10, 2023.
According to Decision No. 505/QD-TTg (April 22, 2022) of the Prime Minister, October 10 of each year is National Digital Transformation Day. National Digital Transformation Day is held annually to accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation tasks, effectively implement the National Digital Transformation program to 2025, with a vision to 2030; raise awareness of the whole society about the role, significance and benefits of digital transformation. At the same time, promote the participation of the entire political system, synchronous actions at all levels and the participation of the entire population to ensure the success of digital transformation. The theme of National Digital Transformation Day 2023 is "Exploiting digital data to create value".
According to Deputy Director in charge of the National Digital Transformation Agency (Ministry of Information and Communications) Nguyen Phu Tien, in October 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications will launch "October - Digital Consumption Month". This is an annual activity starting from 2022 as part of the series of activities of the Action Month in response to the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10 every year. "October - Digital Consumption Month" is an activity aimed at the interests of the people. People enjoy the practical results that digital transformation brings. Enterprises (not limited to domestic and foreign enterprises) strive to bring production and business activities to the digital environment; build a digital platform to serve the people; provide digital products and services to serve social needs; have preferential policies to promote people to use digital products and services. Community digital technology groups strive to “go to every alley, knock on every door, and guide each person” on how to use online services, shop online, make online payments, and protect themselves from dangers and risks in the digital environment…

According to the representative of the National Digital Transformation Agency, to date, "October - Digital Consumption Month" in 2023 has attracted more than 80 enterprises in 12 fields to participate. In particular, many incentive programs have been implemented by enterprises in response to National Digital Transformation Day early, before October 2023, and there are incentive programs that extend the echoes of National Digital Transformation Day until after October 2023. The Ministry of Information and Communications will also continue to receive information from enterprises implementing incentive policies for consumption of digital products and services in 2023, and at the same time, publicly and regularly update the list of digital consumption incentive policies sent by enterprises to the National Digital Transformation Electronic Information Portal https://dx.gov.vn and notify the entire population.
