
In 2023, the Provincial Steering Committee promptly led, directed, disseminated and implemented documents of the Central and Provincial Party Committees on anti-corruption, focusing on: Decision No. 894-QDNS/TW dated June 7, 2023 of the Secretariat; conclusions of the General Secretary, Head of the Central Steering Committee; conclusions of the Steering Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption. At the same time, many documents were issued to lead and direct the synchronous implementation of tasks and solutions to prevent corruption and negativity, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of the province's political tasks. Timely detection and handling of corruption and negativity cases, especially cases and cases under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee.
In 2023, the investigation agency initiated 7 new cases, 11 defendants; resumed investigation of 1 case, 1 defendant. The People's Procuracy at 2 levels exercised the right to prosecute and supervise the investigation of 12 cases, 23 defendants (including 1 defendant in a case under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee); prosecuted 9 cases, 30 defendants. The People's Court at 2 levels of Dien Bien province tried 9 cases, 30 defendants (including 3 cases, 22 defendants under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee). During the year, there were no cases or incidents that had to be put under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee.

The Provincial Steering Committee has led and directed closely, resolutely and comprehensively in the work of PCTNTC, especially in handling and resolving the case of "Violating regulations on compensation and resettlement support when the State acquires land; taking advantage of positions and powers in performing official duties occurring at the Land Management Center of Dien Bien Phu City", ensuring that the case is brought to trial on schedule, in accordance with legal regulations. The coordination between members of the Steering Committee in implementing tasks is increasingly close and effective.
In 2024, the Provincial Steering Committee has set out 8 main tasks and 8 key solutions to promote anti-corruption work in the province, contributing to maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense - security and socio-economic development. In particular, strengthening propaganda, political and ideological education, raising awareness of responsibility of cadres, party members and people in anti-corruption. Improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of inspection, supervision and examination of sectors, fields and areas prone to corruption and negativity. Continuing to direct, verify, investigate, prosecute, try, execute judgments and handle serious and complicated economic, corruption and negativity cases of public concern. Strengthening and improving the effectiveness of supervisory activities of People's Councils at all levels and socio-political organizations.
