From December 6, 2024 to February 28, 2025, Steering Committee 389 of Quang Tri province will deploy a peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025 in the whole province.

Accordingly, departments, branches, units, forces, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, based on their assigned functions and tasks, coordinate, proactively grasp the situation, identify methods and tricks, verify key subjects, areas, key goods (especially prohibited goods such as drugs, firecrackers, explosives and essential goods for Tet); other goods such as foreign currency and precious metals, minerals, gasoline... to concentrate forces, means, and measures to fight; verify the responsibilities of agencies and units in managing, inspecting and controlling areas and fields.
Deploy patrol plans and strictly control trails, border openings, border gates, and border warehouses, especially Lao Bao and La Lay international border gates and the areas of Tan Long, Tan Thanh, and Huong Phung communes (Huong Hoa district) to prevent smuggled goods from entering the country.
Strictly control the domestic market, especially e-commerce platforms, social networking sites and means of transport on Route 9 and National Highway 1 as well as traditional markets and supermarkets to promptly detect and strictly handle activities of production, trading and transportation of prohibited goods, counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin.
Strengthen propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations related to the prevention of smuggling, illegal transportation of goods, trade fraud and counterfeit goods so that people can raise awareness and not participate in or assist law violators.
The Provincial Steering Committee 389 has also assigned specific tasks to each department, branch, agency, unit, and locality; at the same time, it requires strict and effective implementation of the contents and prompt reporting and periodic reporting in accordance with regulations.
