Deploying internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform in the last 3 months of the year

On September 26, Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired a conference to assess the situation and results of internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity, judicial reform in the first 9 months and deploy key tasks for the last 3 months of 2024.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the work of internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform continued to receive comprehensive, focused and key leadership and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Agencies in the internal affairs and judicial sectors have closely followed the program and plan to resolutely implement the set tasks, targets and objectives. Therefore, the work of internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform achieved positive results.

Most notably, national defense, security, border sovereignty, and islands were maintained, social order and safety were ensured, and no sudden or unexpected incidents occurred. Natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue work was carried out with a high sense of responsibility, with the political system focusing on preventing and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3. The authorities focused on effectively fighting crimes and violations of the law, especially crimes and violations related to economics, positions, corruption, drugs, and the use of high technology; implementing many social prevention measures, contributing to reducing crime. Since the beginning of the year, crimes related to social order and safety have decreased by 2.9% compared to the same period in 2023.

Inspection, supervision and audit work to prevent corruption and negativity have been strengthened. Self-inspection and audit work within internal affairs agencies has been focused on. Public reception, dialogue, and settlement of complaints and denunciations have also achieved many important results. Judicial reform has seen many innovations. The province's judicial agencies have focused on implementing many inspections and audits in the judicial field; improving the quality of investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments, ensuring compliance with Party regulations and State laws, preventing wrongful convictions and letting criminals escape.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, commended and highly appreciated the results achieved in the first 9 months of the year in internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity, and judicial reform of the internal affairs agencies in the context of many difficulties, especially the recent storm No. 3. These results have significantly contributed to maintaining political stability, creating a secure and safe environment for economic and social development, and implementing tasks of Party building and the political system.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the agencies in the internal affairs and justice sectors to strengthen the work of Party building and rectification; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members; immediately overcome the situation of cadres and Party members being afraid of responsibility, avoiding and shirking responsibility. The armed forces must grasp the situation, ensure security and order on the border, islands, key areas and targets, and avoid being passive, and strengthen people-to-people diplomacy.

Agencies and units focus on reviewing and evaluating the ability to implement and complete the goals in 2024 to determine tasks and solutions for 2025 that are close to reality, suitable to the new situation, and associated with the completion of goals and targets for the entire term. Regularly fight and suppress all types of crime, especially organized crime, high-tech crime, and drug crime; in which, it is closely linked to the movement of All people protecting national security and consolidating and maintaining the effectiveness of the grassroots security model. Strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, prevent corruption, practice thrift, and combat waste in all areas of work. At the same time, promptly complete inspections and supervisions; thoroughly handle and overcome recommendations and violations that have been concluded by competent authorities.

Along with that, it is necessary to thoroughly resolve complaints and denunciations right at the grassroots level; not to let complaints and denunciations drag on and accumulate, causing public frustration, and not to let hot spots form. Focus on improving the quality of investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution activities to ensure compliance with the law, prevent wrongful convictions, and escape of criminals; improve the efficiency of judicial agencies. Strengthen the effectiveness of State management of taxes and customs; fight against smuggling and trade fraud.
