Over 85 billion VND in loans for production and business households in difficult areas

Implementing the Loan Program for Production and Business Households in Difficult Areas according to Decision No. 31/2007/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, in recent years, the Provincial Bank for Social Policies (BSP) has focused on mobilizing capital to meet people's borrowing needs.

In the first 4 months of 2024, the entire Branch disbursed over 85 billion VND, lending to nearly 1,200 households, raising the total outstanding debt of the program to over 717 billion VND, an increase of nearly 18 billion VND compared to 2023. This is one of the 4 programs with the highest outstanding debt among the programs managed by the Provincial Social Policy Bank, accounting for 11.56% of the total outstanding debt. Of which, Thanh Son district has the highest outstanding debt of over 173 billion VND, accounting for 24.14% of the total outstanding debt of the program for production and business households in difficult areas.

According to the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, policy capital has been disbursed promptly, basically meeting the capital needs of production and business households in difficult areas. This capital is mainly invested by households in livestock, crop cultivation, and service development. This is an important capital channel to promote production development in areas with many difficulties.
