The delegation presented 50 bicycles, worth 65 million VND in total, to poor but studious students and presented a 0% interest credit package worth 100 million VND to 10 poor households (through the District Women's Union).
Also at the program, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper awarded 50 scholarships (VND 2 million/scholarship) to poor but studious students in Hai Lang district. These are scholarships under the program "Scholarship to support ethnic minority and poor students" founded by Mr. Truong Hoa Binh and managed and operated by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

Speaking at the program, journalist Tran Trong Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Vietnam Journalists Association organized a series of activities of the program "Lighting the flame of gratitude" to pay tribute to the contributions of war invalids and martyrs in the war for independence and protection of the Fatherland.
Since its launch, the program "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude" has received positive responses from local branches, inter-branches, and journalists' associations. This shows that the program has spread widely, promoting the moral tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking", "repaying gratitude", and expressing deep gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution.
Journalist Tran Trong Dung expressed his hope that the small gifts from agencies and sponsors will bring joy to poor students who have overcome difficulties and are studious, and at the same time encourage them to continue to strive to overcome difficulties to achieve high academic results, contributing to helping their homeland gradually reduce poverty and develop sustainably.
