Awarding the first prize in the 3,900 billion VND bridge architecture competition across the sea in Rach Gia

On November 22, the Department of Transport of Kien Giang province held a ceremony to announce the results of the architectural design competition for the bridge on the coastal road connecting An Bien - Rach Gia city (sea-crossing bridge across Rach Gia bay).

After more than four months of organizing the competition and selection, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province decided to award first prize to the "Legendary Hair" project of the Big Bridge - Tunnel Design Consulting Joint Stock Company, with a reward of 500 million VND.

The project was awarded first prize.

The project "Initial Mark" of the consortium Truong Son Consulting Joint Stock Company - Chodai & Kiso Company Limited - Jiban Vietnam - Hung Nghiep Consulting - Construction Company Limited - Construction Technology Transfer and Consulting Office (abbreviated as Truong Son - Chodai - Hung Nghiep - Consulting Office) won second prize, with a prize of 300 million VND.

The "Hoa Lac" project of the consortium of BR Design Consulting Co., Ltd. - NDA Vietnam Co., Ltd. - HAS ARCHITECTURE JSC and Phap Duyen Construction Design Co., Ltd. won third prize with a reward of 200 million VND.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded two consolation prizes to the "Beauty from the Sea" and "Dance of the Waves" projects of two other units. Each consolation prize has a reward of 100 million VND.

Speaking with Giao thong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Le Viet Bac, Director of Kien Giang Department of Transport said that after the results of the selection of the design plan for the sea bridge across Rach Gia Bay, the unit will start to prepare a pre-feasibility project, select the design and organize a bidding to select a contractor to construct the project...

"The first prize winner will be selected to design and construct the bridge. Depending on the work, it can be fast or slow. This project basically does not involve site clearance but is mainly constructed at sea, so it will be faster than other projects," he said.

The bridge project on the coastal road connecting An Bien - Rach Gia City has a total project investment of 3,900 billion VND. The total length of the route is about 3.71km, of which the bridge across Rach Gia Bay is about 2.8km long.

The project implementation period is from 2024 - 2029, using provincial budget capital. The bridge location crosses the Cai Be and Cai Lon river mouths, overlooking Rach Gia Bay, on the coastal road connecting Kien Giang - Ca Mau.
