(Dan Tri) - A salary of 20 million VND/month is considered high compared to the general level in Bac Lieu, but many companies still cannot recruit workers.
On January 4, according to an update from the Bac Lieu Provincial Employment Service Center (under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs), from mid-2024 to present, a number of companies in the area have recruited many workers with relatively high salaries compared to the general income level in the locality.
Specifically, a commercial shrimp trading company is recruiting shrimp farming workers with a salary of 10 million VND/month; the company is recruiting workers to operate bag machines for packaging production and business with a salary of 10-20 million VND/month.

A trading company is recruiting a sales supervisor with a salary of over 22 million VND/month; a high-tech agricultural company is recruiting a sales staff with a salary of 30-35 million VND/month.
Foreign-invested garment companies recruit hundreds of unskilled workers to work as tailors with salaries of 5-7 million VND.
Many companies in other fields such as seafood, construction, agricultural supplies, building materials, etc. also recruit many workers with an average salary of less than 10 million VND/month.
In addition to salary, most companies have additional benefits for employees such as accommodation, insurance, travel support, holiday bonuses, Tet bonuses, vacations, etc.
However, the updated list shows that for many months there have been companies that have not been able to recruit workers according to demand.
The leader of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Bac Lieu province once commented that there are many companies recruiting workers who need experience in the fields of production and business. Many workers do not meet this requirement.
Regarding salary, the company pays no less than the regional minimum, but workers must meet many other criteria to receive high salaries. Therefore, when recruited, workers cannot do it.
Leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs recommend that workers need to improve their responsibilities, proactively improve their knowledge, qualifications, experience, etc. to be able to meet the requirements of employers.
