In the period from 2021-2024, Ho Chi Minh City has 216 farming households with an average income of over 1 billion VND/year.

Summarizing 3 years of implementing the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty in the period of 2022-2024", the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association said that in the period of 2022-2024, the Farmers' Association at all levels organized 326 vocational training classes for 10,137 rural workers, 526 training classes, transferring science and technology to 24,827 members... With a series of support solutions, the association has contributed significantly to increasing the income of farming households to 428 million VND/year; of which, 216 households have an income of over 1 billion VND/person/year.

In recent times, many farmers who are good at production and business have become the nucleus of solidarity and have made outstanding contributions to promoting the development movement and participating in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and implementing social security projects to help members escape poverty sustainably. Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Xuyen, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association, affirmed that in the coming time, the city's Farmers' Association at all levels will focus on guiding the movement to develop strongly in the direction of association, cooperation, solidarity and mutual assistance in production and business.

At the same time, the Association will build a group of farmers who are good at production and business, specializing in many fields and sectors; create a forum for farmers to exchange experiences, techniques, and market information to promote the application of high technology, organic agriculture, production and consumption of products according to the value chain, carry out commodity production according to VietGAP standards, strive to produce many traditional products, key products of the city according to the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program.

The Association also mobilizes farmers to develop agricultural tourism and eco-tourism, associated with the conservation and development of rural industries, contributing to job creation and income improvement for rural workers. At the same time, mobilizes good farming and business households at all levels to actively participate in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021-2025 in the city and the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

“In 2025 and the period of 2025-2026, the City Farmers' Association at all levels will focus on implementing 19 important targets, including: Striving to mobilize the establishment of 80 new cooperative groups, 6 agricultural cooperatives, training and fostering vocational skills for 1,300 members, supporting 30% of district-level good farmer and business households and 50% of city-level good farmer and business households to have accounts on e-commerce platforms, striving to produce many traditional products, key products of the city according to the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program…”, affirmed the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association.
