On October 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union (HWU) coordinated with the City Labor Federation (CFL) to honor 16 outstanding female landlords in 2023.
In recent times, the club of female landlords and the model of self-managed workers' groups in the city have actively accompanied the Women's Union and trade unions at all levels to effectively carry out propaganda and mobilize female cadres and members, along with the city's people, to join hands in caring for and improving the material and spiritual lives of female workers through specific and practical actions.
Specifically, it has supported the rental price of boarding houses for workers, students, and poor laborers; visited and gave gifts to boarding house workers in difficult circumstances, those who lost their jobs, cared for and supported them in carrying out state administrative procedures, etc. Thereby, helping female boarding house workers and female migrant workers strengthen solidarity and feel secure in participating in labor production.

To date, in Ho Chi Minh City, there are 173 female landlord clubs with 4,014 members. Trade unions at all levels have established and maintained 1,304 self-managed worker groups with more than 98,000 workers. From there, they have coordinated with landlords to develop self-managed worker groups in boarding houses into models of "Green - clean - beautiful boarding houses", "Civilized - affectionate boarding houses", contributing to diversifying forms of mobilizing to build a cultural life for migrant workers in the city.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Mai, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for Mass Mobilization, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of female landlords in the past time, thereby contributing to promoting the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, accompanying local authorities, associations at all levels and trade unions in propaganda, grasping public opinion among workers and supporting workers in difficult circumstances.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Mai, the model of female landlords in localities is very practical and necessary. Therefore, she hopes that in the coming time, female landlords will continue to promote their role as a bridge between the association and the trade union with workers. At the same time, they will accompany the Party committee, government and local organizations to carry out propaganda, mobilization, sharing and support for workers, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City with a good quality of life, civilized, modern and humane.
Ms. Mai requested that the association at all levels should promote the role of the members of the Female Landlords Club to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of female workers in the boarding house to mobilize resources to promptly support them in difficult times. In addition, it is necessary to promptly grasp the difficulties and problems of landlords with many workers and laborers renting rooms, especially the female members of the Female Landlords Club, to propose and recommend to the authorities at all levels to have appropriate solutions or support.
