The organizers of Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Dragon announced that at 9:00 p.m. tonight (February 14), Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Dragon 2024 will be dismantled.
Because the flower street has large, complex scenes, the cleaning work was allowed by Ho Chi Minh City leaders to be extended by 24 hours, from 6am on February 15 to 6am on February 16.
After completion, the two dragon mascots at the flower street entrance, named "Lương Long Triều Liên", will remain on Nguyen Hue walking street until the end of the first lunar month to continue serving visitors.
The Dragons in the Palace with each mascot has 5 dragon body segments winding along both sides of the flower street, with a length of more than 100m and a head circumference of more than 2m. In addition to setting a record for the size of the zodiac animal that has ever appeared on Nguyen Hue flower street, the dragon mascot is also environmentally friendly when more than 90% of the materials used in the creation are rattan and bamboo and fan blinds.
Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, said that this year's flower street has the theme "Spring of love, Tet reunion" to serve people and tourists for 8 days from February 7-14.
From the time the first images of the design were released until it ended on the night of February 14, this year's flower street received many compliments from millions of people and tourists, becoming the most beautiful flower street in the past 21 years.
Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2024 attracted more than 1.2 million visitors. The organizers also estimated that there would be about 10 million images related to Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2024 updated on media and social networks during the Tet Giap Thin 2024.
