Speaking at the decision-making ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the reorganization of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted into 2 schools, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia Middle School - High School, is to comply with the 2019 Education Law and the regulations of specialized schools. The reason why after separating the 2 schools, they both keep the name Tran Dai Nghia is because even though they are reorganized, they are still students and teachers of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted. Keeping the name Tran Dai Nghia School is with the desire to preserve the tradition and affection of teachers, students, and parents of the school through many generations.
“When reorganizing, the Department of Education and Training carefully considered how to avoid causing disruption and difficulties for parents and students. Therefore, in the reorganization plan, the department has time periods to implement the transition roadmap. In which, the junior high school level has 3 years left and the high school level has 2 years left, before completely separating. After 3 years of complete separation, the 2 schools will complement each other in terms of youth, capacity... Although Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted is separated into 2 schools, students and teachers will continue to organize teaching and learning at 53 Nguyen Du, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1 (the previous address of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted) until the end of the class of students from the 2023-2024 school year and before" - Mr. Hieu shared.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School inherits the quintessence of specialized schools. The department orients the school's development towards international integration as the school is doing.
According to Mr. Hieu, in an educational institution with students from two schools, there will certainly be difficulties, so he hopes that the principals of the two schools will closely coordinate with the vice principals to organize teaching and learning with the least fluctuations and changes.
He believes that the principals of the two schools will coordinate well to fulfill the wishes of teachers, students, parents...
“Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School inherits the essence of specialized schools. The Department of Education and Training orients the school's development towards international integration as the school is doing. With Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School being moved to An Khanh Ward, Thu Duc City, although it is far away, the location is beautiful, the area is larger than 2.2 hectares. In the coming time, the Department will continue to invest in the school. I request the Secondary School Department and the Financial Planning Department to study regulations on specialized schools, supplement equipment, and calculate finances so that Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School can perform its tasks well in the coming school year…” - said the leader of the Department of Education and Training.
