On the afternoon of July 3, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the standard scores for grade 10 of the regular system of 108 high schools.
Nguyen Thuong Hien High School still leads the rankings with 24.25 points, but down 1.25 points compared to last year.
With the admission score calculated as the sum of 3 subjects: literature, math, foreign language and priority points (if any), candidates who want to be admitted to Nguyen Thuong Hien High School must have an average score of nearly 8.09 points per subject.
Following that are the next three schools with 23.25 points: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Huu Huan, and Tran Phu High Schools, a slight decrease of 0.25 to 1 point. Despite the decrease in the standard score, all three schools increased by 1-5 ranks compared to last year.

Notably, Gia Dinh High School's benchmark score dropped the most, by 1.5 points, dropping from 2nd place to 5th place with the Practice High School - University of Education (23 points).
The Practical High School - University of Education is also a new name in the top 10 rankings, climbing from 12th place last year.
The remaining 4 positions are Mac Dinh Chi High School, Le Quy Don, Phu Nhuan, Nguyen Huu Cau, all with 22.5 points.
Admission scores for grade 10 are usually calculated as follows:
Admission score = Literature exam score + Math exam score + Foreign language exam score + priority and incentive points (if any).
The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City only considers admission for candidates who have taken all required exams, have not violated the entrance exam regulations, and have not scored 0 on any exam.
