Russia-Ukraine war today October 27, 2024: Russian President issues an "ultimatum" if Ukraine attacks with long-range weapons with NATO support.

The Kremlin hopes that the West has heard and understood Moscow's warnings about the consequences of allowing Kiev to launch attacks deep into Russian territory. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this in an interview on Telegram with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

“I hope you heard. Of course, we also have to make some decisions for ourselves. (…) We have to respond to this appropriately,” the Russian leader said.

Mr. Putin added that, in addition to the issue of permission to use weapons, it is important that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) cannot use long-range weapons without Western support in reconnaissance and target designation from Western allies.

Earlier, Russian President Putin announced that NATO soldiers and officers were directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine. NATO not only trained Ukrainian soldiers but also sent experts to support and carried out attacks on Russian territory with long-range weapons.

South Donetsk “explodes”

The Military Summary channel reported that on the night of October 27, the Russian army carried out a large-scale attack using Geran UAVs on Kiev as well as the Sumy and Chernigov regions.

The Russian army is completing its control of Selidovo, having taken control of about 75% of the city. The AFU troops are retreating. In addition, the Russians have taken control of Gornyak and Aleksandropol. This has left Kurakhovo under siege.

South of Donetsk, the Russian army made a major breakthrough with armored formations suddenly breaking through to Bogoyavlenka and Shahtarske.

The situation on the front is now desperate for the AFU. With no logistical and reserve resources, Ukraine cannot stop the Russian advance. Military experts believe that Russia’s main goal is to attack towards Velyka Novosilka.

The Military Chronicles channel confirmed that the Russian army's attack from south of Ugledar and the simultaneous advance to Selidovo were dubbed a systematic raid to create a large-scale "casserole" surrounding a large number of AFU units entrenched at the front line.

The AFU's loss of the fortress city of Ugledar had extremely serious consequences, opening the way for the Russians to advance across the open plain, unhindered by any defensive points.

Rybar channel said that reports from the front continued to report on the Russian advance on some areas of the front, especially in southern Donetsk.

The Russian army carried out several local attacks on the Bohoyavlenka - Katerynivka line. Earlier, Russian shock troops took control of the forest belt between Vodyane and Bohoyavlenka near the Ikryana ravine, Dobrovolsky forest. However, the Russian side did not rush to take control of the village, but waited for the reinforcement of the reserve forces.

Meanwhile, Russian artillery was actively working at Bohoyavlenka to soften up the battlefield. The AFU positions in the area were of course devastated by the terrible barrage.

Currently, the Russian side is advancing strongly between Zolota Nyva, Shakhtarske, Novokrainka and Prechystivka. The 40th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and some elements of the Russian 36th Army over the past two days have not only driven the enemy out of several forest belts and large settlements, but have also taken control of the settlements of Shakhtarske and Novokrainka. Thanks to rapid attacks, the Russian side has gained control of about 50 square kilometers in the past few days.

Ukraine tries fierce counterattack in Glushkovo and Korenevo

Rybar channel reported that battles are still ongoing in some areas of the Kursk region with the AFU trying to attack and deploy reserves to the front line.

In the Glushkovo district, the AFU attacked the Novy Put area. At least one armored vehicle was blown up by a mine and the assault force was dispersed by UAV attacks and Russian artillery fire.

Fighting also raged in the Korenevo district. The AFU attempted to attack the village of Zeleny Shlyakh, but was detected early and repelled by artillery fire. In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry reported repelling attacks in the Pogrebki area.

There are no changes in the front in the Sudzha district. The Russian army is actively attacking the positions of the AFU in the territory of the Sumy region in order to block the movement of troops to the Kursk front.

In the Belovody region, an AFU artillery unit was destroyed by an attack from an Orion UAV. This can be considered the first mission of this type of attack UAV on Ukrainian territory.
