General contractor for the construction of the "heart" of Long Thanh airport promises to shorten the progress

(NLDO) - The general contractor leading the Vietur contractor consortium to implement Long Thanh airport terminal affirmed that the consortium will make every effort to seek solutions.


On the morning of February 17, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha received Mr. Reha Denemec, Vice President of IC ICTAS Construction and Trade Group, General Contractor leading the Vietur Joint Venture to implement Package 5.10 "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal" of Component 3 of the Long Thanh International Airport Project. The passenger terminal is considered the "heart" of Long Thanh airport.

Assessing IC ICTAS as a prestigious corporation with experience in building many airports around the world, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the Government and the Prime Minister are very interested, regularly inspect, urge, and hold very specific meetings to speed up the progress and soon complete the Long Thanh International Airport Project.

The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that IC ICTAS and the Vietur Contractor Consortium will continue to work with equipment suppliers to determine the time that can be shortened to complete the 5.10 package, ensuring quality, technical requirements, and the highest economic efficiency.

"This is not only an affirmation of the prestige and capacity of IC ICTAS but will also become a symbol of the increasingly deep cooperation between Vietnam and Türkiye, contributing to promoting investment, economic, trade, tourism, cultural cooperation... as well as exchange activities between the two peoples," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Discussing the need to develop transport infrastructure (high-speed railway, urban railway), energy infrastructure, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the approach and approach of IC ICTAS in particular, and Turkish enterprises in general, when implementing transport infrastructure projects, it is necessary to create synchronous connections.

Regarding the Long Thanh International Airport Project, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), ministries and branches to work and reach an agreement with the General Contractor IC ICTAS in March 2025 on a package of solutions and specific, detailed plans on issues that need to be resolved when accelerating the completion of package 5.10, as well as linking the progress of other packages and component projects of the Long Thanh International Airport Project, in the spirit of "harmonized benefits and shared risks".

The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that IC ICTAS will continue to have more projects in Vietnam and will be a Vietnamese enterprise with large development space.

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to receive him, Mr. Reha Denemec said that during the implementation of package 5.10 (Component 3 of Long Thanh International Airport Project), IC ICTAS and the Vietur Joint Venture have received the highest level of cooperation and support from Vietnamese partner enterprises, as well as a team of highly skilled engineers and workers.

Mr. Reha affirmed that the consortium will make every effort to seek technical and construction solutions to shorten the completion time of package 5.10; at the same time, it hopes to carry out more infrastructure projects to serve the operation and exploitation of Long Thanh International Airport, as well as other transport infrastructure projects in Vietnam in the future.
