Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supports grassroots trade unions and union members to overcome the effects of storms and floods in Ha Hoa

On the morning of September 14, the delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and the Provincial Federation of Labor visited, encouraged and provided support to overcome the effects of storms and floods at Dan Thuong 1 Primary School.

Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 30 million VND in support to Dan Thuong 1 Primary School.

During the recent storm and flood, Dan Thuong 1 Primary School was completely flooded in 2 classrooms and the office building, damaging nearly 150 sets of student desks and chairs, teacher desks and office desks. Currently, the staff, teachers and employees of Dan Thuong 1 Primary School are continuing to clean the buildings, classrooms and school grounds after the water recedes.

Sharing the difficulties with Dan Thuong 1 Primary School, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has donated 30 million VND to support the Union and the school in overcoming damage after storms and floods, and soon stabilizing classrooms to ensure teaching and learning in the school.

Next, the delegation visited the family of member Nguyen Thi Nhu - a teacher at Dong Lam Primary School, living in Zone 3, Hien Luong Commune. Nguyen Thi Nhu's family is in difficult circumstances. Due to the impact of storms and floods, her small house was flooded, damaging most of the household appliances; livestock barns, rice and crops were also damaged.

Due to the impact of the storm and flood, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu's family's house was flooded, furniture, crops and livestock were damaged.

Faced with the difficult circumstances of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu's family, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has provided support of 3.3 million VND and gifts to encourage her family to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, continue working and performing their work duties well.

This is a practical activity demonstrating the concern and care of the Trade Union organization for union members in difficult circumstances and grassroots unions severely affected by storms and floods.
