Summary of activities of the Emulation Cluster of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Red River Delta provinces in 2024

On December 4, in Ha Long City, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a Conference to review the activities of the Emulation Cluster of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the Red River Delta provinces in 2024. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, chaired the conference.

Also attending the conference were comrades: Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, Head of the Emulation Cluster; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces in the Emulation Cluster including: Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc.

In 2024, despite facing many difficulties, especially the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi) on the provinces in the Cluster, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations closely followed the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the province's.

The Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces in the Cluster have actively and proactively deployed and successfully organized the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels. The work of information, propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of people from all walks of life has been promoted effectively; many meaningful activities have been organized, such as eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, building great solidarity houses; and organizing well the National Great Unity Day...

Movements and campaigns continue to be promoted, such as: "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Unite to innovate, improve productivity, quality, efficiency and international integration" associated with digital transformation; "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with the implementation of national target programs... In particular, in the face of severe damage caused by storm Yagi, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces in the Cluster promptly deployed relief activities, encouraged, visited and helped affected households and individuals with a total amount of over 674 billion VND.

At the conference, delegates discussed and shared outstanding and creative ways to implement the content and agreed on the tasks to focus on in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized: In recent times, the Fatherland Front from the province to the grassroots level has taken care to consolidate its organization; made efforts to innovate the content and methods of operation, increasingly focusing on the grassroots and residential areas; promoted its core role in gathering, building, and promoting the strength of great national unity, practicing democracy, and enhancing social consensus.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system and the entire society in building new rural areas, building civilized urban areas, comprehensively completing the goals of building new rural areas at all three levels, entering the construction of advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas associated with industrialization - modernization - urbanization; actively mobilizing people to take the lead in responding to site clearance for key projects and driving projects of the province; realizing the goal of narrowing regional disparities and the gap between rich and poor, eliminating 100% of temporary housing and newly-emerged dilapidated housing in the province, improving the quality of housing for poor and near-poor households according to the province's criteria; at the same time, promoting the role of the Fatherland Front in the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels.

He also expressed his appreciation for the attention, direction and guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the coordination of the provinces in the Red River Delta Emulation Cluster over the past time. He hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to receive guidance, direction and attention to create favorable conditions for the units in the Cluster.

Referring to the direction and tasks in 2025, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, requested the provinces in the Emulation Cluster to focus on new points and take the lead in selecting a number of breakthrough contents such as: caring for the poor and people in difficult circumstances; determined to reach the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025; proactively applying digital transformation in implementing tasks. In addition, continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of being close to the people, listening to the thoughts and aspirations of the people; promote social supervision and criticism activities; continue to spread good, practical and effective ways of doing things, together with the country entering a new era - the era of national development.

In the spirit of solidarity, democracy and high unity, the conference conducted emulation reviews and honored the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province as the Head of the Emulation Cluster of the Red River Delta provinces in 2025.
