General Director of Dai Viet Securities suddenly resigned

Currently, the Board of Directors of Dai Viet Securities has only 1 member, the General Director.

Dai Viet Securities Corporation (DVSC) has just announced information related to senior leaders.

Accordingly, on February 14, 2025, Dai Viet Securities JSC received a resignation letter from Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha regarding her resignation from the position of General Director of DVSC for personal reasons.

Notably, Ms. Ha was only officially appointed to the hot seat of DVSC in December 2024. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha joined DVSC in January 2024 as Deputy General Director and in June 2024, Ms. Ha became the person in charge of administration and was authorized to disclose information. In September 2024, Ms. Ha held the position of Acting General Director and only officially held the position of General Director 3 months later.

Thus, this female leader resigned after only 2 months in office.

Before joining DVSC, Ms. Ha worked at Tan Viet Securities (TVSI) since 2008 and held the role of Head of TVSI's Supervisory Board for the 2018 - 2023 term.

Currently, Ms. Ha is the only member of DVSC's Executive Board. Therefore, after the Board of Directors accepts Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha's resignation, a new candidate for the hot seat will soon appear.

DVSC's total assets by the end of 2024 reached VND 249 billion, of which short-term assets accounted for VND 183.6 billion.

The company is not strong in margin lending, but the majority of its assets are in Financial Assets at Fair Value Through Profit and Loss (FVTPL) and Held-to-Maturity (HTM) Investments.

In 2024, DVSC had a loss in the last two quarters of the year, but overall, the results of the first half of the year still brought profits to the business. DVSC recorded 38.8 billion VND in operating revenue in 2024, down 26% compared to the previous year. However, thanks to more efficient proprietary trading, the after-tax profit of this securities company last year still increased by 40%, reaching 10.7 billion VND.
