Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Le Hai Binh appointed Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism

Mr. Le Hai Binh holds the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer and appoint two Deputy Ministers of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Specifically, in Decision No. 400, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In Decision No. 328, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Phan Tam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Thus, the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism includes Minister Nguyen Van Hung and 6 Deputy Ministers: Ta Quang Dong, Trinh Thi Thuy, Hoang Dao Cuong, Ho An Phong, Le Hai Binh, Phan Tam.

New Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh was born on June 20, 1977, in Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city. He has the degree of Associate Professor of Political Science and Doctor of International Relations.

Mr. Le Hai Binh is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee (alternate).

Mr. Le Hai Binh has nearly 20 years of experience working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has held many important positions such as: Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Policy and Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs; Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Policy and Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Diplomatic Academy; Deputy Director, then Acting Director, then Director of the Department of Press and Information; Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy and concurrently Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies, Diplomatic Academy.

Since October 2019, Mr. Le Hai Binh has been transferred to the Central Propaganda Department and has held the following positions: Director of the Department of Foreign Information and International Cooperation; Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Foreign Information, Director of the Department of Foreign Information and International Cooperation; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

In March 2024, the Politburo appointed Mr. Le Hai Binh as Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine.
