Honoring Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification

The activities were organized to summarize, propagate, and raise awareness of the position, role, and important contributions of literature, art, and artists to the cause of national construction and defense, while continuing to fully and deeply grasp the Party's viewpoints, policies, and guidelines on culture and art.

At the same time, encourage, motivate and promote the talents and enthusiasm of Vietnamese artists at home and abroad, creating works of high ideological and artistic value, contributing to building a diverse and rich Vietnamese literature and art.

According to the Plan, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will preside over two activities: Ceremony to honor outstanding literary and artistic works 50 years after the country's reunification; Ministry-level scientific research task: Vietnamese art 50 years after the country's reunification: achievements, limitations, issues and development orientation.

Along with that, the assigned tasks include: National Arts Conference summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification; Exhibition displaying and introducing achievements of 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification (expected to be held in mid-April 2025); National student choir festival with the theme "Song of Unification"; National workshop with the theme: "50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification: Issues and development orientations"; Information and propaganda work for activities summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification.

The plan also assigns specific tasks to agencies and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to implement. Accordingly, the Department of Performing Arts is the focal point, presiding over coordination with specialized agencies of the Central Propaganda Department and units under the Ministry to implement the tasks; Providing a list of guests, typical artists who have made important contributions to the development of Vietnamese literature and art, attending the National Arts Conference; Presiding over and directing the Ministry's art units to develop an Art Program (if assigned); practicing, preliminary review, final rehearsal, and performance to ensure political integrity, artistic quality and progress.

The Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies presides over and organizes the implementation of the ministerial-level scientific research task: "Vietnamese art 50 years after the country's reunification: achievements, limitations, issues and development orientations". At the same time, coordinate with specialized agencies of the Central Propaganda Department and related units to organize national seminars and scientific discussions.

The Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions presided over and coordinated with the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations to organize an exhibition to display and introduce the achievements of 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after reunification in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Thua Thien - Hue province. The Department of Cinema coordinated to provide and introduce exceptionally excellent cultural products (films) of high literary and artistic value.

The Department of Grassroots Culture presides over and coordinates with localities to organize visual and vivid propaganda and agitation on the theme "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification", associated with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification...

In addition, the Ministry also requested press agencies under the Ministry to develop a propaganda plan to organize activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification.
