Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor shared that Vietnam Glory is a special political and social event honoring heroic collectives and individuals, national emulation fighters, and typical advanced examples with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement, in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

"They are the embodiment of revolutionary heroism, love for the Fatherland, attachment to the people, innovation, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, bringing glory to the agency, unit, industry, locality and the Fatherland," said Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu.

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that the Vietnam Glory program was first held on May 1, 2004 and then held annually. By 2023, it will be the 18th time the program has been held.

Vietnam Glory has always received the attention of the Party and State leaders; the support and acceptance of all classes of people. The program is directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, coordinated by the Central Emulation and Reward Committee and central ministries, departments and branches, and directly organized and implemented by Lao Dong Newspaper.

According to the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Glory 2023 program with the theme: "Vietnam Will" is part of a series of activities to welcome trade union congresses at all levels and the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; commemorating the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023).

The Vietnam Glory Program 2023 honors 16 typical collectives and individuals with the will and aspiration to rise up, overcome all difficulties, and be ready to sacrifice for community life; many individuals and units become a source of inspiration spreading positive energy in society with an aspiration to rise up, build a more prosperous and happier society, affirming the mettle and will of the Vietnamese people and the Vietnamese nation.

As of 2023, a total of 274 collectives and individuals have been honored through 18 Vietnam Glory events, including 100 collectives and 174 individuals.

Of which, the Department of Economic Synthesis - Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the 5 collectives honored in the Vietnam Glory program. Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang - Department of Economic Synthesis - Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Department of Economic Synthesis is the unit that assists the Minister of Foreign Affairs in performing the state management function of economic diplomacy and economic issues under the state management scope of the Ministry.

Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang - Director of the Department of Economic Synthesis (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) expressed her honor that the Department of Economic Synthesis is one of the 5 collectives honored in the Vietnam Glory program this year.

Over the past two years, implementing the direction of the Party, State and Government leaders, promoting the role of the standing agency of the Vaccine Diplomacy Working Group established by the Prime Minister, the Foreign Affairs sector, directly the Department of Economic Synthesis, has chaired and advised Senior Leaders, coordinated with ministries, branches, localities and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to organize and implement a rapid, unprecedented vaccine diplomacy campaign, making excellent contributions to the unexpected success of the largest-scale Vaccine Campaign in the history of the Government, making an important contribution to protecting people's health, helping the country quickly adapt safely and effectively control the Covid-19 pandemic, promoting economic and social recovery and development.

The achievements (in the past 10 years) of the Department of Economic Synthesis - Ministry of Foreign Affairs include: First Class Labor Medal in 2014; Government Emulation Flag in 2022; Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021. "Being honored in this program is a great honor, a great source of motivation for the Department of Economic Synthesis to contribute more to the country's foreign affairs" , Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang shared.

The 2023 Vietnam Glory Program with the theme "Vietnam Will" will be solemnly held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday - June 4, 2023 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace - 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi; broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television, and broadcast live on Lao Dong Electronic Newspaper.

Based on nominations from central ministries, departments and branches and proposals from the Council for selecting collectives and individuals to be honored in the Vietnam Glory Program 2023, on May 29, 2023, the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor agreed on the list of honors for the following collectives and individuals:

2 - Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam.

3 - High School for Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

5 - Party Committee of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
