After more than two years of absence, singer Truc Nhan has returned to the music scene with his music video "Khong ra gi" (Nothing).
The music video "Không ra gì" (Nothing) has reached the top spot on YouTube's Trending Music list with over 3.5 million views after nearly a week since its release. For Truc Nhan, the success of this musical product is not only for the singer himself, but also a priceless gift to his family and the team who helped create it.
* Reporter: When viewers see Truc Nhan's products, they immediately think of the numbers. It seems this product is still as expensive as your other music videos?
- Singer TRUC NHAN: I once shared at the launch of my product that the music video "Nothing" is... priceless to me. I don't know what numbers people will think of when they watch the MV, but I only remember the numbers: around 500 dance moves, 5 dance troupes, 7 character portrayals, 9 female leads, 11 cameos (guest actors); the love and effort of the filming crew, special effects, choreographers, dancers, and many others in the team—isn't that "expensive" enough? (laughs).

* What have you been doing and where have you been for the past two and a half years?
- I "retreat into my cave"! I'm a lowkey person (lowkey is usually understood as humble, unassuming, and generally doing things discreetly - PV). When I "retreat into my cave," I find I can create many things.
* You've been "out of the spotlight" long enough for other competitors to overtake you. Are you worried about that?
- I have many fears, including the fear that my music won't keep up with current trends or be outdated. I think this is a common worry for everyone who has embarked on this path. I also don't want to give myself a title or position to worry about being "surpassed" by others. I'm just Truc Nhan, as I've always been.
* Every product bearing Truc Nhan's name leaves its mark. His musical style is also unique and not many can follow it. But this uniqueness also comes with difficulties. Have you ever felt lonely?
- I've never felt lonely pursuing my genre of music; on the contrary, I find it very exciting. This genre always challenges me, giving me new experiences and feelings.
I've always wanted to explore and discover different facets of music, not wanting to repeat my past self. I hope to maintain this passion for my future projects.
These days, artists are hesitant to create expensive products. But all of your products are very expensive; you must be very "rich"?
- If you say I'm rich… in emotions, that's absolutely correct! I feel truly fortunate that almost 99% of what I envisioned was achieved by the team.
Over 30 people from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City worked alongside me, sharing meals and sleeping arrangements, to create the special effects. TDK and DTAP readily revised the song according to my wishes. My grandparents, parents, relatives, and friends flew in from Binh Dinh, and they were all there to film the music video with me. The value of this "Nothing" music video is truly immeasurable to me in monetary terms.

* I was particularly impressed by the quote, "It's better to sell your house to create something to look at at the end of your life than to look back and find nothing." Is your passion for art so strong, or is investing heavily the only option for survival?
- Everything has its price. If you want to achieve something, you have to sacrifice something; you gain one thing but lose another. The saying, "It's better to sell your house to create a product so you have something to look at at the end of your life than to look back and have nothing," reflects my passion, not that I always have to "sacrifice my life" in that way.
Because I love my profession and respect it, I always hope that as long as I have the strength, intellect, and innovative ideas, I will dedicate everything I have to it.
* Truc Nhan has been in showbiz long enough to know the fierce competition among artists. Have you ever faced pressures that were difficult to overcome?
- The pressure was immense! After "If You Don't Keep It, Don't Look for It When You Lose It" was released, I didn't know what to do next. 300 dancers, a mix by 6 producers, the lead actress Miu Le was so impressive... there were so many special things that made me worry whether I could do something like that again. Luckily, I finally released "Nothing."
From "What a surprise," "You're so grown up and still crying like a baby," "Have you opened your eyes yet?" to "If you don't cherish what you have, don't look for it when you lose it," I feel like I'm building mountains that I don't even know how to climb. I also don't know if I'm being too harsh or extreme with myself. But the truth is, as soon as I launched the product, I felt like I was "outdated" and needed to think of something new.
I always want each subsequent product to be better than the previous one, to have more surprises. This unintentionally creates pressure for me. It feels like climbing a mountain in this profession. But, I wouldn't like a life that's too smooth either! (laughs).
* Truc Nhan is intelligent and good at calculations, and this has been confirmed by his success over the years. Is that true?
- I wouldn't dare claim to be intelligent or calculating, because obviously I've failed sometimes. I think what I "know" up to this point is probably what I need, what I want, and what suits me. Oh, and I know... how to be spoiled and ask people to do extra things for me, or fix extra things for me!
* Looking back, what would make you want to change and start over?
- No. I believe everything that has happened to me so far has a reason, and every person who comes into my life is a matter of fate, so I must cherish and be grateful. Therefore, I don't want to change anything in my life, because if the "gears" of my life were to shift even slightly, Truc Nhan might not be sitting here today.
What's most special about me is probably that I always feel like I'm "worthless," and that's why I've never stopped trying.
